Sergio Martinez 45 min · SERGIO MARTINEZ (DJ - ARGENTINA) Deep - progressive and techno deep house He was born on April 7th, 1971 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and he has been involved in the electronic scene for many years. From an early age, he felt a passion for music, trying to get what he liked the most through cassettes, vinyls, and by being informed through magazines, TV and radio shows about his favorite bands like Pet Shop Boys, New Order, Duran Duran, Simple Minds, among others, as well as the maxis and unpublished versions of the hits of that moment. He began to develop his profession at friends´ parties and in private events. Having worked as a PR in the traditional disco "Cinema", he met and befriended Hernan Cattaneo, Javier Maggi Prado and Rulo Lavigne, leading influencers in his musical taste besides Sergio Athos, Carlos Alfonsín, and other national musicians. He was invited to play there in some occasions. The radio program Oid Mortales by Tuti Gianakis, someone Sergio always listened to and was fed by information, remembered his devotion to the group The Grid with his song Flotation with which the broadcast began, and where he heard new sounds like trip hop, acid jazz and garage music of the time, as well as artists like Incognito, The Brand New Heavies, Massive Attack. Through all this he approached House Music in its beginning, becoming a huge fan of the fathers of this movement, Frankie Knuckles, David Morales, and also of other djs like Masters At Work, Cj Mackintosh, Paul Oakenfold, Sasha , Satoshi Tomiie, Roger S, Laurent Garnier, among others. He took his dj sessions to several discotheques in Argentina such as "The Probe", "Bs As News", "El Dorado", "Comodor", "Argentina", "Club 69" (Corrientes Avenue), "Oval", “Club 2040","El Rey" and "La Belle" (Cordoba province), “Museum”, “La Diosa”, in raves organized in Sarmiento Park, in "La Morocha", "AlternatiBa" organized by the government of the city of Bs As. He also participated at the Pacha disco terrace sharing the event with Sander Kleinenberg, DJ Steve Lawlerr, Roger S, John Digweed, Martín García, Javier Zucker, Dj Paul, Big Fabio and the resident Hernan Cattaneo. For some time he formed a duo called Cool Vibes, a name he created himself due to the signing of an Aquabassino vinyl, an international dj he liked very much, as did Kevin Yost, one of the most respected by him. Sergio possesses a large discography of his IR label, both, inside deep house, style he took to several bars, and discos. He conducted and musicalized his own radio program called "Cool Experience" at FM Cadena Eco 90.3 where he also produced other shows alongside Aldo Haydar. After being away for some time, he returned in 2008 with international presentations at "Melia Paradisus" in Varadero-Cuba, in the Dominican Republic "Iberostar Bayahibe" and in "Mangú Disco" Punta Cana, he was invited to the "South American Music Conference" along with international djs such as Lee Burridge, J. Capriatti, Sean Tyas, Crhristian Smith, Alex Under and national performers such as Ronan Portela, Jonas Kopp, Aldo Haydar, Diego Ro K. During 2010 he performed in Mexico at Hotel Boulevard Disco "Grand Palladium" and "La Mascara disco" at the Hotel Iberostar, both located in the Riviera Maya. He was in Panama as guest dj in the Pool Bar at the Radisson Decapolis Hotel and again in Dominican Republic in "Mangú Disco" having played as exclusive guest and also on another date with Darin Epsilon, as well as in "Soles Bar" (Playa Corales) and "Bubaraba Disco" (Dominicus-Bayahibe) from the same country. In 2011, he began performing at Bahrein Buenos Aires - Argentina, one of the most important underground venues in Buenos Aires, where he continues until today, playing alongside djs like Sergio Athos, Rulo Lavigne, Miguel Silver, Romina Cohn, Carlos Alfonsín, Jay West, Tommy Disco, José Luis Gabin, Luis Nieva, Diego Cid in the Submerged season, Rowan Blades and Miguel Bastida among others. He also played on a monthly basis at Levitar Bar (site of great musical culture), where he continues occasionally until today sharing the cabin with several artists. He also played at Congo Bar (Buenos Aires) with Dj Mina, Cervelar, Borges Beach, The Oldest, Jah Bar, The Soul Club, Back Up - Niceto Club Side B sharing booth with Dany Nijensohn, Assaul Fest on the terrace at the Continental Hotel - Buenos Aires, 1 A "Speak Easy" with Juan Ponce De Leon, Chogo Fogo (former Abuelos de la Nada, a renowned national music group), produced by Miqui Berrios and Mike Cameroni. He was at the disco in Valkyria - San Pedro, and has been repeatedly at The pool at Bar Bora Bora at the Howard Johnson hotel in the same resort. He had the experience of musicalizing “Taiana Cooking at home”, events organized by the renowned chef Hernán Taiana. He made international presentations at Vibe Disco , Punta Cana in 2015 with Felipe Alemais and Luk Follin. In 2016, he started to play at private events at Ralph's Bistro & Bar- Palermo Hollywood where he continues to this day. He performed with his djs sessions in radios such as 8Bitz Radio, Sairus Global - Neuquén, Kema Radio - Pinamar, Perfecto Groove Urbana BA (where he performed and gave live interviews), Buenos Aires Groove, and internationally, he was in Sets de Lujo - Uruguay, LightWave Radio- Greece UK, The Basement - Ibiza Global Radio and many more in which he remains invited. He participated with his dj sessions in live broadcasts in Schualle Room next to Leandro Hernández and Santiago Linguer, Gustavo Calaf, Rich Curtis (Australia) and Sound Room TV produced by Nickolas Get. He was also a guest in the TV program "Imagen de Moda" - cable channel Magazine TV -, presented by Andrea Garmendia, together with well-known figures of the fashion and entertainment environment. He participated for a long time in PCM Radio with his program "Cool Experience", which currently became NUBE MUSIC RADIO where he continues spreading his exclusive sets. His current style is deep, progressive and techno deep house, selecting the best of each according to each presentation and, as is customary in him, for his refined taste and effective on the dance floors.
